tomorrow

  Waiting
for the world to begin;
lying in bed,
unable to fall down
the funnel
into the pouch
of black-velvet-oblivion;
tomorrow is a day
I can taste,
its flavor infusing
my body
with haste
to sleep,
only to wake

Like a child,
I cannot wait
for the world to begin
again
