Tomatoes... :) Poem by karen sinclair

Tomatoes... :)

Rating: 5.0

Plum cherry vine
I'm smiling
as they fine

Iron sweet in taste
Devine
Devoid of waste
(Intervention!)
As I forgots ta mention
The supermarket creation
Of six flavourless
Toms....

All neatly packaged
All mildly orange
To seperate from pennies
And true they don't cost many
Cause they is god damn
Disgusting....

They almost taste of water
Don't taste as they aughta
Infact they taste of naughta
But fuzzy furry balls
Does nought but make me balks
Und I can barely talk
As they slither past me teeth
In mine throat they makes me reach
To the point I do beseech
Don't buy these again!

Over my dead remains :)

The answer is to grow your own Karen, although there can be problems: I put eight young tomato plants in my greenhouse And thought they looked like heaven But when I checked on them this morning I noticed there was only seven Someone had unzipped the door during the night And decided to add to my woes Purloined one of my tender young seedlings And had it away on his toes I hope your stolen plant grows tall and strong And bears many fruits when in leaf But just remember as you chomp away That plant was mine and you are a thief

Tasteless tomatoes. They try to make them look good in all colors. Beautiful poem bringing out what is not seen.

Flavorless 'Toms' are everywhere, Karen Sinclair, because they think that are marketing to our needs...Genetically modified...though the poem seems to be funny, it is very meaningful..
