Toiling On Poem by Job Laz

Toiling On

Yesterday I looked back and smiled
For it lost meaning over time,
Chasing the blues I end
Cos my head thinks better,

My eyes see clearer
Into the promises made
And my heart remain hopeful
To the dawning of my ‘morrow

When all I forget
And anew I’m born
When all tears cease
And a will awakes,

Then I shall trail
Unfamiliar manors with no fear
For none posses my desire
And no one imprisons my dream,

Forward they will march
In rows they will bow
At the mercies of my blade
But with love I shall bathe them.
