today's winter formal
and you will not be there
you've ruined this day for me
i hope you're happy fool
all the girls are so excited, with their big dresses and hair
yet i am at home in bed, and you dont care
yes, i'll still be going
all my friends will be there
yet you i will not see
should i call you?
no i dont dare
im still at home, with 3 hours to go
crying my heart out under the covers, messy hair
im such a mess but nobody will know
in 3 hours i will be gorgeous
my hair will be perfect and make-up will be set
i'll look like a vision and i'll smile all night
but no one will know im crying inside
because make-up can cover so much
its not like you care though
because you'll be out with your friends getting drunk
you wont once think about me or miss me again
i'll be the only one missing you, that's a bet i'll be willing to take
2 hours to go
i'll start wiping the tears
i'll slip on the dress and the fabulous shoes
get ready for the perfect smile that you'll never see
