Today Is Waiting Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Today Is Waiting

Rating: 0.5

Sonnets of pain
Sonnets of deep lessons
I must follow the sun
Let the rain have its way
Life is never a stereotype
The river has bends
We must comply

You want me confined
I cannot be in your cage
Only love can guide us home
The human spirit is a wild wind
Now the calm morning begins
Sinfulness is tired
Soon the day shall bring change

Our arms are like shelters
Then they become prisons
My darling which are You?
Maybe both
Agendas are dangerous
Freedom is a beacon
Let your heart stay free

The wind blows the branches
They bend like ballet dancers
Our souls are not fixed
Will you understand me?
Will I truly love you?
We hold on too yesterday
Today is waiting
