Today is a day, full of mourning...
Today is a day, full of pain...
Today we are surrounded by crys and tears.

I loved my gramma, I loved her a lot,
But I wasn't around much, and I think I forgot.
I lost sight of the most important picture;
I forgot how much my gramma loved me.
And now it's to late to realize my mistake,
It's to late to hold her hand, and feel her grip mine.
But it's not to late to apologize,
It's not to late to say I'm sorry.
Because I know she knows,
She knows how much I love her, she knows how sorry I am.
Most importantly she knows how much everyone loved her,
How much everyone will miss her greatly.
And now everyone should heed my warning,
That we can all learn from my mistake.
That we should hold our loved ones hands,
And make them understand.
That we love them dearly so,
And we are never letting go.
Now grab a hand, from left and/or right- hold them tight.
So that we all know now, we're in pain together.
And today is the day to be strong...
Today is the day, to remember the good...
Today is the day, to remember the love...
Today is the day to share the love for my gramma with everyone.

My warning is out, my apology is made,
The only thing left to do is hope,
Hope that today is the day, we can all start to heal.

I wrote, and read this, last year for my Grandma's funeral..
