Today
It will all
just have to wait
until tomorrow - every thing -
For today is all I have, all the air
I can breathe, all the motion
I can sustain -
Tomorrow may blow in
like an uncertain storm,
like a wild-wind stealing away
even God's breath;
taking and leaving at will -
Today is me,
is still, is the oxygen of the present.
Today is peace … is mine.
Tomorrow is unfathomable,
is chaos … is light years away -
