Today Poem by Kathryn Kubacki

Today

Today some are born
Today some have died
Today crowds have cheered
Today children have cried

As broken windows shatter
New glass is being forged
Tiny humans brought to life
A new body at the morgue

With heaven comes hell
With chaos there is peace
With everything there is balance
To say the very least

No one day too joyous
No two days too sorrowful
With wide eyes we hope
Hope for tomorrow

Today there is marriage
Today there is death
No need to sit regretting
Stop wasting your breath

Go out, enjoy life
Sing your wondrous song
Go live out the day
Before today is gone
