-to You Poem by Amelia Hammond

-to You

Rating: 3.5

A feeling of deep sorrow
Thrown by accident
My soul burns in flames
Bitter & tormenting my spirit
& its unusual meaning
Never spoke of passion, nor love
It is happiness to dream
As I hope to live
For a reason I could not imagine
But my reason had little to do
Now I have forgotten myself
Confusion fades to horror
As the shadows claw upon me
It is unknown this unfathomable abyss
Consuming the desire from its delay
Either to live or die
Which burned themselves upon my memory
It felt forbidden to gasp for happiness
Sorrow, the most lasting of impressions
The hours of happiness are over
The pure affection became darken
Agonized, by my beloved.
