To: You Poem by J. Matthew Thacker

To: You

They say i dont have a chance
That the odds are a million to one
But thinking of you is so much fun

They say we could never be
But i cant stop thinking of you and what i see

I only want you to take a look inside of me
And just maybe let me open a door
And let you paint my world a different shade of gray

But the words they say make you fade away

I see you through a fog
Hear you in a wisper
I reach out to you before you dissapear
But your allready gone
Or maybe im wrong and you are here in this song
Traped in my heart
Burned in my brain

Thinking of you makes me go insane
With a numbing pain
They hold the key locking me up
And holding me down
Taped up is my mouth
So i cant make a sound
As to keep me silent as the lamb
But this is who i am

A profound knowledge of love and hate
Maybe this is why i cant be in your heart
Or is it lost a black rose to those who know
