To Write Poems With Such Sincerity (English Sonnet) Poem by Edwin Tanguma

To Write Poems With Such Sincerity (English Sonnet)

To Write Poems With Such Sincerity (English Sonnet)

You are the reason I pick up my pen
And scribble unfathomable poems
Some may think that loving you is a sin
Maybe one day they'll understand our gems

You and I make a despicable pair
We are from opposite sides of the tracks
Life without you is more than I could bear
I could go on and on presenting facts

They would continue to fall on deaf ears
You're the reason I continue to drink
And continue writing through all the jeers
I'm so confused I can no longer think

This confussion gives me such clarity
To write poems with such sincerity
