To Those Who Desire To Live. Poem by Lauren Harper

To Those Who Desire To Live.

I try to stay awake to remember my name, but everyone is changing and I don't feel the same. Night appears as do my thoughts spring forth alive. Candles burn around I, Just as f they were autumn leaves. This does not bother I. Cor what troubles myself is not death, but to truly die. When I leave this world I dare not be nothing. I will be something. Ill be on the cover of books, memories in your mind and in old photographs. What is the point of life if you have nothing to offer? I m not here for my own personal enjoyment. That has been made clear. I am here to be more than just another person my darling dear. So take what I have to say with care. Read me cover to cover. For what I have to say isn't all roses and bliss, but advice for those who don't just want to be alive but for those who truly desire to live.
