To The Native Born Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

To The Native Born

Flying insects and lovely birds,
From Rameses to Palestine with your love;
And like an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
You are worth twice as much and i love you,
But so is the world today with wars around us;
And it is like bomb for bomb and life for life!
But one day you will see me with the cheers on my face.

Give him meat to eat and give her all that she wants,
For she is your lover and your friend;
But one day you will see me with the cheers on my face.
To the native born i do speak my mind,
And to all that see the beauty of the earth being destroyed by war!
But you will know them by their fruits.
