To Oscar

Who's just humble, I don't know
but I'll tell you now,
being tragic,
I don't know how
I did it,
and I don't want to know.

If I parsed the magic
I'd be both humble and tragic,
and open to Lady Bracknell,
who's sympathetic
and doesn't try to make fun
when you're just the other or one.

Lady Bracknell: To lose one parent, Mr. Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune. To lose both looks like carelessness.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Michael Walker 25 October 2016

A poem worthy of Oscar Wilde, indeed a tragic figure and still important as a writer. M.Walker.
