To My Own Poem by Maureen Alikor

To My Own

Through the distance
I see your smile,
with closed eyes
I feel your love
as cold as the night is
Still I find warmth,
in memories of us

as time strolls by
I secretly pray
and wish it flies
cos I long to be with you again

today I stare at you
with passionate brighter eyes,
I see all I had not seen
I grow fonder
and bless nature
for making you

in my world you are my best,
blessed to have you
happy to be with you
a rare gem indeed
hidden within
are virtues untapped

you are you
and it makes me smile
loving you just how you are
is a resolve well made
