To My Father. (18 / 09 / 2011 / 20h16) . Poem by Koena Mokoena

To My Father. (18 / 09 / 2011 / 20h16) .

I thought i could rely on you, but it is clear that i was wrong,
because you are the cause to my weakpoints.
I fail in my life, because you have chosed to abondon
your responsibility to guide, protect, advice & motivate me.
I make you proud everyday, by respecting myself, because i am not a humanizer,
nor the thief, because i believe this will ruin my reputation.
Hence, i will lose my normal body weight, because i will be worried about who, what,
where, how & when...
Hence, you will be exposed by me naturally, formally, because you seem informally.
To be honest a man is a man with responsibility,
but you have failed me.
I am judging from your attitude.
I know the truth hurts, but i don't have a choice...
All this things should make you proud, but the more i try, the more
our relationship drifts away & i wonder why?
What have i done to deserve this kind of treatment, because i believe as a Father
it is your responsibility to correct me if i am wrong like a parent.
I hate to be naughtorious, because i am the role model to the kids, youth & elders in the community.
Hence, i must lead by example.
