To Makrama Poem by John Chizoba Vincent

To Makrama

Last year, we were the last cloth for the sun,
We were the last layer of the moon on earth,
Thousand stars hung around our love unblown.
Take the last breath that sees faith in me now,
Tomorrow might not come before dawn.
If you see yesterday covered in my palms,
If you see tomorrow running to the east,
I have made it to be so in our last vision
Because you left me here where women
Buy their pad of menstruation and infidelity.

Take the last breath that sees faith in me now, Tomorrow might not come before dawn. If you see yesterday covered in my palms, If you see tomorrow running to the east, I have made it to be so in our last vision ... The best lines of the poem. I liked the metaphors used that visualize the upcoming disasters. Thanks for the effort.
