To Long
It's been too long since I wrote
I didn't mean to offend you
I got out of the habit of writing
I want to write more
but sometimes your lack of response demotivates me.
If I write will you write back?

I write poems for myself but sometimes I like to hear a response back. Today's poem takes the tone of an apology for not writing to someone because they don't write back. It's meant as a tiny reflection on a life where most writing goes unread but where there is the hope of a response.
