To Listen Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

To Listen

Rating: 4.0

People thronged in to listen to my poems,
At my residence;
But the wisdom of my mind came from the ghetto.

I took years around! !
Learning to become who i am today;
Than thought by many.

My life to you is like, someone with yellow eyes;
With chaning faces!
And, chaning phases of my status;
From birth to the present time.

Time and life!
All about us on earth;
Life's own journey with the ways of nature in my land.

The window of words! ! !
The door of hope,
Like a princess in love;
But, people thronged in to listen to my poems.

Remember the past and smile to me!
For i've taken a mile with my mind;
And, timeless beauty embodies my heart.

I am with you,
You are with me;
Today at my residence.

Yesterday is gone! !
Longer than thought;
Hoping for a better tomorrow.

Peace!
To envelope your love with the works of the truth,
Seeing through the laws with the eyes of joy.
