To Have You Here With Me Poem by Melvina Germain

To Have You Here With Me

Rating: 5.0

We have never touched
or shared a quiet eve
we never danced across the floor
or cuddled beneath an old oak tree
I feel you in the words you share
and see your eyes gaze long at me
one can only dream of what
togetherness might have been
I long to be within your arms
or share a hot cup of tea
no matter what you say or do
I'll be happy to have you here
with me

I have read several times this poem now...every word and every emotion, I lived it and felt it to the core!
