To Fetch A Wife … 1710-2k12 Poem by saadat tahir

To Fetch A Wife … 1710-2k12

A lovely bank
from an Arabian steed
in Gods creation
a pearly bead

many a knight
along the way
rode and rode
by their sway

nature threw us
an age old pride
to master and slave
a welcome ride

in wars and efforts
that a prince strives
in the thick of battle
it saves their lives

in debonair dare
and a flick of lock
golden decked
the flank and hock

it carries them on
to a cherished life
and also poised
to fetch a wife

The poem beautifully flows like a stream having a picturesque quality. A remarkable quality of your poetry is that the words you use are not only denotative but connotative as well that enrich the overall beauty of the poem. lovely poem :)
