To Blinded To See Poem by Lizzie O'Neill

To Blinded To See

Walking through the park,
So dull and grey,
No one notices anyone's there,
Always in a rush,
Never stop to see,
There's beauty all around,
It's not dull or grey,
The grass has life,
Swaying with the wind,
The leaves on the tree's are whispering,
The birds are chirping,
The insects awake,
The flowers open eyes and search for the sun,
But we don't see this,
Don't notice a thing,
To interested in going,
Where we have to be,
But if we stopped,
Maybe for a little while,
We could tell the world has beauty,
But are we to busy to just look and see?

You have the eyes and the soul of a poet - for you stop to look. And that makes all the difference.
