To Be With Anne Hathaway Poem by Daniel Thomason

To Be With Anne Hathaway

Rating: 5.0

Grandeur in running water
Running water that breathes under each bridge
Where bowing trees are unable to touch them
Where pebbles are unable to skip across them
Where life is briefly hidden from the sun
It is where they hath a way to watch lifeless men
Without the doubt that comes from
As they ripple around the darkness
The darkness where they watch the stone offend
In one step they hold their breath
So superstition in each wave
Each movement
Gives grandeur in running water
At last final offer; a last chance to amend...
