To Be Or Not To Be Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Europe's hierarchy is calling for unity
working with Britain forever to be
surveying the future with one accord
prosperity to flow at the hand of our Lord.

Ideas on the economy brought up to date
climate change considered at a calm steady rate,
doubting spirits may then realize that
pendulums sometimes swing up to the skies.

Today our minds ponder on two world wars
fought over Europe's sunny green shores
but 'peace in our time' may very well reign
and we could be happily smiling again.
