To Be A Mother
To be a mother
Is a privilege like no other.
A blessing from God.
A journey down a path untrod
as nourisher of life;
Embryo’s haven, in peace and strife.
To be a mother
Means stepping out of girlhood’s cover
And in the flowers of spring
Find oneself blossoming;
Or in solidarity see
An apple ripening on the tree!
To be a mother
As seasons fly, swift as a plover,
Is to give body, mind, soul
To keep your offspring whole;
And through all the laughter and tears
See them safe down the years.

A beautiful write of becoming a mother. There is nothing nobler than being a mother - only women could - and experiencing the joys of motherhood. Well written!
To be a real mother is the greatest joy and privilege.... though it often leads her to trickles of tears and the scourge of pain...! But let all mothers teach their children only love for that is what each mother is...! ! Love this great tribute to mothers!
