This isn't the most poetic thing that I've ever written, but it's the truth.

Being a dad is about making a baby
Being a daddy is about raising a baby

Being a dad is about DNA
Being a daddy is about TLC

Being a dad is about making promises
Being a daddy is keeping those promises

Being a dad is hearing your daughter sob in her room
Being a daddy is stopping those tears (and hurting the boy that caused them)

Being a dad is meeting your son's girlfriend
Being a daddy is teaching him how to treat her

Anyone in the world can be a dad
It takes someone special to be a daddy
