To A Place Beyond Hell Poem by Paula Glynn

To A Place Beyond Hell

There is a place beyond hell,
It is where time,
Works in perfect harmony,
With all souls;
Whether demons or angels,
For everyone was something bad once,
Everyone has crimes to their name,
Not always good to have fame.

Once I learnt to fight,
I fought all those against me,
I felt their white light,
I felt their smiles and laughter,
And made them face me,
For I shall give everyone,
Something to talk about.

I have seen,
The fabric of the universe,
I have seen DNA and evolution,
I have been on airplanes and trains,
I have seen the beauty,
Of the rainforests,
I have seen the vast,
Variety of people across the globe.

I don't know everything,
But I do know the miracle of life,
Of a place beyond hell,
An awful, psychotic hell,
Where even angels fear to tread,
And where demons cast,
Hypnotic spells.

But that spell has been broken,
The words of the angels spoken,
And I see the colours of the world,
I see the beauty of nature,
And the aesthetics of the human race,
For it is never a boring planet,
So much to learn and so much to do.

I don't seek all the answers,
For it does not help,
To be stuffed with knowledge,
But I do wonder,
And I wonder with passion;
Looking at earth, space,
And all that will ever be.
