To A Great Dad Poem by Diana Ballesteros

To A Great Dad

Now...
how can you say that you are a man if you don't do anything for your child.
how can you say that you love her if you aren't there to make her pain better.
how can you say to everyone that you know her if you don't know what she is doing right now.
how can you say she is your life if you don't spend your life with her.
how can you clam she is your daughter if you are not a father to her.
how can you say that you miss her with all your heart and soul if you know she is next door and you don't try to see her.
how can you say she is important to you if you don't show any love to her.
Later...
don't be surprised when she fears you.
don't be mad when she starts hating you
don't be a fool to believe that she talks about you all day and all night.
don't be angry at me because she doesn't call you daddy.
don't be blaming me because she doesn't want you in her life
don't be sad if she doesn't care much about you.
don't you cry if one day she doesn't miss you at all.
at the end that what you wanted and don't say otherwise
and what you want is what you are going to get.
