To A Beloved Friend Poem by Leaking Pen

To A Beloved Friend

In every hidden corner
And in every timid shade
On Land or in the Water
Hide beauties that never fade.

This lovely Earth, which stands
Between Hell and Heaven
With the charms of its lands
Which by God are given
As this romantic scene
The Sun kissing the sea
In time of nature green
When beauty flies free
Or when the noble Moon
Between the clouds does shine
Singing its calming tune
Sending a loving sign.
Green spring and hot summer
Pale autumn, cold winter
All are songs very dear
To Nature their Mother.
And these sweet melodies
Caused by the rolling waves
Carried with the soft breeze
Throughout the peaceful days
Would pull an angel down
From its own place of birth
Somewhere above the Sun
To hear those tunes of Earth
And when the first snow falls
Like the tears of Heaven
Weeping on the dead souls
Which by spring were given
Or when the bright Sun shines
After an absence long
Waking life's newborn signs
In Spring Nature's best song
This is my Earth today
Beauties within beauties
Each month has its own way
To sing its melodies!
