Tis Such A Sad World Poem by Francis Duggan

Tis Such A Sad World

The youth of some Countries their justice system them fail
We hear such sad stories of children in jail
The Governments who allow this to happen must know of their shame
Though they of course never would take any blame
For crimes against homeless children carried out in their name
By criminals in the guise of lawmakers for want of a better name
The poor homeless children who are plucked off of the street
By the so called police who are prowling their beat
And taken to a false judge who commits them to serve time
In a harsh adult prison for some trivial crime
And of their basic humanity them they do deprive
For such a thing as the stealing of food in order for to survive
Tis such a sad World the World of today
That some children are treated in such a bad way.
