Tis Far Far Better! Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Tis Far Far Better!

“Tis a far far better thing I do
Than anything I’ve ever done! ”
That guy was such a Dickens,
He doesn’t seem to have much fun!

“Oh Romeo, Romeo, wherefore
Art thou Romeo? ”
Shakespeare knew it all along,
But wouldn’t tell Juliette where he’d gone-eo!

Did you know that Mark Twain’s real name
Was really Spotted Twine?
I could have told you something else,
But it’s the only thing that rhymed!

“Never speak before spoken to! ’
That line is sure a hoot.
If Congress simply followed that
Then we wouldn’t give them the boot!

Tis a good good good good better thing,
If I end this poem right here!
For If I just kept rattling on,
You would surely box my ear!
