Timeline Of Misery Poem by Alex Mercado

Timeline Of Misery

Rating: 5.0

I've been bruising everyday since I was born.
The world made me this way.
Now I'm waiting for that perfect storm.
The day that I should've played Russian Roulette.
I'd be crying toxic tears,
Until I'm forced to drown this bloody silhouette.
Images I can't forget.
Moments I wish to regret.
Here's another chance.
My mind is in a trance.
I look up at the skies and smile at lightning.
I inhale the aroma of my surroundings,
Ever so frightening.
Suddenly the darkness turned white.
I'm engulfed by a wave of light.
Jesus, did you miss me?

I love this, the last couple of lines especially. Makes me think of so many things that have happened in my life.
