Time Will Tell Poem by Romeo Della Valle

Time Will Tell

Rating: 4.7

As time passes by,
I am fully aware
Of what I am missing
And I am imaging
That you are perfectly conscious
Of what you have lost...

Now I must let you know
That there is not crime
Without any punishment on Earth
And for trespassing my heart,
The worse punishment you can get
Is to live the rest of your life
Without me.
Only time will tell.

Well penned; I like the sentiment. Betrayal, is personal and deservedly brings condemnation. Emerson said Commit a crime and the earth is made of glass. Commit a crime, and it seems as if a coat of snow fell on the ground, such as reveals in the woods the track of every partridge, and fox, and squirrel.

Feeling slightly angry are we? Nice! Self-assured, powerful. Loved it!

Time really is a witness... I think the poet shows a firm personality dealing with the heart issues. All the best in your life!
