Time To Say Goodbye
We could have been
Two birds
That flew away together
We could have been
In love forever
We could have been
Two roses
Intertwined together
We could have been
Everything
But now we are nothing
Because you chose to
Say Goodbye
The flowers cry
The birds don't sing
The moon no longer
Smiles down on me
Because they were there
When you left me
My cheeks
Are tearstained
My eyes
Bloodshot
My hearts shattered
I no longer
Want to live
It rains and rains
Because even
The sky is crying
Everything is mourning
Becuase you said Goodbye

Departing oneself from another makes so unpleasant situations and sadness is the end and I like the good poem in this page and the poet as well.

When a person decides they no longer want to be with us, all the love, beauty and joy we knew is taken away with those devastating words, good bye. Our hearts are torn, our souls ripped apart, nothing ever the same again. Loss of love, friendship, someone we love is the most difficult lesson to deal with, there's no understanding, no reason or logice, but it hurts us so deeply, never forgetting it's pain. Very heart-wrenchingly honest poem of one's heart breaking. Thank you for sharing your heart. RoseAnn
