Time Of Her Eyes Poem by Quenten McClellan

Time Of Her Eyes

Time is trapped
In your eyes,
A glance to me,
Was the stopping of the tides.

We sat confined,
By time and sea,
Words spilled without sound,
May i never breathe.

The soft patterns of your lips,
I wish upon my cheek.

To wake in the morning,
With you next to me,
Is to send my heart soaring,
And my mind hell free,

It is in the call of your name
That i hear the human noise,
The endless beat of my heart,
when time is nothing but crude art.

Every heart beats the same,
Its a tune that never strays
But it is to blame,
when it knows what it plays.

With a smile that shines on the world,
Eyes that stop the time,
My heart is curled,
And bound by twine.

I will not prod or pull,
for your heart tonight,
I will hope in full,
That you just might...
Say the word i wish to hear,
But if not,
Thats alright,
My dear.
