Time Moves On Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Time Moves On

Rating: 5.0

Time moves on

I used to do one eighty degree splits
One finger push ups
A practioner of Jeet Kune Do
One of the best
Even defeated a Brownbelt
Had my own students
Now it's just a day dream
Time moves on in days

I used to be a young engineer
Designing electrical systems
To schools, churches, clubs
Even highrise buildings with lifts
Always willing to challenge the best
Now i am connected to the earth
driving to my farm every weekend
Time moves on in weeks

I used to worry about the future
About my retirement
Wanted to give my kids the best
Now its just me and my spouse
In our house with our cat and dogs
Poetry is my new passion till death
Hurtling at 365 days per year
Time moves on in years

A very touching story. We all do the same and expect alot in return but we never know what fate has stored for us. Only time will unreveal what it has stored for us. One should accept it gracefully and move on witg contentment and happiness. Awesome life store nicely summed up. Five *
