Time Poem by Shahzia Batool

Time

Rating: 2.9

Time,
like a step mother-
often hard and often kind-
sometimes fellow, sometimes foe;
it really moves
in a continual flow...
often hits surprising blow;
causes wound and then heals it
when it pleases.
Time,
like a step-mother,
shows indifference to our matters
and scatters
wishful hopes and aspirations,
changes things in different fashions...
Time -the fellow
Time -the foe:
gives despairs
then repairs
we are targets of the Time
we are toys in hands of Time...

'TIME'.. ''People like us who believe in physics know that the distinction between the past, the present and the future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion'' (Albert Einstein) ~*~

Time is an elusive dimension unlikely ever to be fully comprehended by human beings in their present form; it may even result from our use and need of the brain as filtering organ for this physical plane. Thoroughly enjoyed your unique poetic notions regarding time, Shahzia!

Love this. Very revealing, delving into the depths to bring to the surface some deep truths concerning that all-elusive phenomenon called time.
