Tigers And Tigresses Can Weep Too Poem by Hebert Logerie

Tigers And Tigresses Can Weep Too

Rating: 5.0

(This poem is dedicated to Mr. Michel Gros-Jean, my young kindergarten teacher, who was cowardly and brutally killed by the bogeymen of the old regime. Your former students will never forget you. Today, I say many thanks to all the victims for their martyrdom and sacrifices.)

Today, we know that the wicked can weep too.
That's life! The dictators' children are human, not hogs.
That's the truth! The leopards know how to cry too.
The criminals always forget that there is a tomorrow,
A tomorrow with changing realities,
With dynamically changing consequences. Another lazy season is slipping by very slow;
The poor, the destitute, the victims are not dogs.

Today, like yesterday, we're aware of a few more things.
That's why, on the graves of my siblings,
The world is sobbing, blowing kisses and showering them with pretty roses.
Our hearts are sad! Alas, the paths of happiness and the roads
Are wide open for our countrymen.
Already, I encourage them to continue to fight against the bogeymen,
The assassins, the corrupt, the torturers,
the thugs, the well dressed and the ill-dressed thieves, and the bloodthirsty gangsters.
May God protect our nation against all kinds of disease,
Especially against the fury of Ebola! May God bless us against all types of crises!

Today, we know that the wicked can weep too.
That's life! The dictators' children are human, not hogs.
That's the truth! The leopards know how to cry too.
The boogeymen seem to forget that life is made of good deeds, kisses and hugs.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is dedicated to Mr. Michel Gros-Jean, my young kindergarten teacher, who was cowardly and brutally killed by the bogeymen of the old regime. Your former students will never forget you. Today, I say many thanks to all the victims for their martyrdom and sacrifices. I want to remind the world that those murderers killed about 30,000.00 sons and daughters of God.
