Tides Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Tides

Sand castles
I am sleeping again
Dreams of blue sky
Seagulls are there
Figuring things out
What do I really need?
Getting rid of baggage

These scribbles of love
Angst is addictive
We are the sea caves
The forest in spring
Pick up every piece of hope
Collect them like crayons
Paint a wonderful day

Clouds like moonlight
Stars warm as kisses
Greetings with cookies
Hold my hand with freedom
Ideals living like children
Hear your cat purr
Stay close to life

Today is all I have
There is a flow
There is a glow
Avoid the evil tidings
Turn the news off
Walden
Quiet
Peace, at least for awhile

Listen to the tide
