Tick Of Time Poem by Anthony Raymond

Tick Of Time

Tick, tick, tick, sounds off another three
Tick, tick, tick, time is quickly passing by me
Tick, tick, tick, life quietly continues to knock
Tick, tick, tick, just can't stop a ticking clock
What I would give to slow the hands of time
Change the tick to a sweet, pleasant chime
Worry not so much about the passing days
All those wrinkles and ever mounting grays
In hindsight undo my many wrongs to rights
Change from a divider to a person who unites
Tick, tick, tick, there it goes another three
The tick of time is as steady as a buzzing bee
The key for the heart is just a gentle tick tock
A soft ticking motion of the biological clock
Tick, tick, tick, is just a quiet reminder for me
With the last tick of time my soul will be free
