Three Strikes Poem by Kate Rob

Three Strikes

Three strikes, I am out, and I’ve already had two
Now we have to be careful about what we do
Cause honey I want this never to end,
It’s gone too far; you’re more than a friend.
No more guessing what the is other feeling
This is no game; your lives aren’t cards for dealing
They are just too precious a thing
That the only thing worth them is nothing.
Nothing on the earth could ever add up
To the love that we have so let’s never letup
Cause, Honey we’ve got some crazy, live free love
But I still need to bring our song to an octave above.
We can’t let anyone see, we gotta hide it all
Because I never want this love to fall
Due to those people who want to tare us apart
But this true love was built strong for the start
They think they have the power take us down
Drive us both, you and me, into the ground
But we together are on fray-free rope
And we’ve always learned to somehow cope
So this is just another chapter in our complicated book
Just don’t take the bate they real down on their hook.
Honey we’ve made it this far, to far to go back
Cause baby it’s never going to be love that we lack.
