Three Blind Wishes Poem by Asma Khan

Three Blind Wishes

Groomed in golden laces of hopes
glazed with stars of destiny
I portrayed your shadows
with bright winter days and
wished you an admirable soul

Wrapped in peace of eternity
glowed with gestures of love
I packed your memories
with joys of tomorrow and
wished you laughter that never quietens

carried in chariot of royalty
escorted with guards of my prayers
I sent you angels of spring
with a destiny written in gold and diamonds and
wished you an eternal prosperity

buried in old heart of fate
fired with timeless pain of togetherness
I blindfolded my soul with
ashes of gone days and
wished you a life without me.
