Thought of you today
It seems like yesterday
I can still hear your voice
Softly in the wind
I haven't seen your face in a while
Then I look into the sun and there's your smile
In the car, I hear your favorite song
The singer that always lightens your life
Especially when you were blue
I look at all the old pictures
The joy and the good times we had
Wishing them back, just like before
The adventures, we had growing up
Poor and happy, we had fun
Stories of love, friendships and break up
We listened well to each other
To comfort each other and to bring joy back
Laugh and cry together and share the moment
We had our differences
Fight and Silence, became the normal for a while
But our love of sibling brought us back
No, we weren't perfect
The silliness we had was unique
That was our medicine
Taken so young
Still time to grow
I see your name on a wall
The flowers hanging nearby
I bow my head in silence and prayer
I think of you often
Missing the love of Life and adventures
I look to the sun and there you smile
The wind in your voice so loudly
I feel you in my heart as always
You will live in my life
Live my adventures
Someday I will share you the stories
That you have missed or could not hear
Lay in peace and rest in heaven
