Those Known As Wordsmiths Poem by Francis Duggan

Those Known As Wordsmiths

Those known as Wordsmiths with words know how to play
And words they use in every sort of way
They put their words on paper every day
Each to their own as some are known to say,
Wordsmiths were never and are not a rare breed
And without them there would not be books to read
In human history Wordsmiths their mark have made
And all good Wordsmiths are practiced at their trade
The proper usage of words should never be a crime
Though some famous Wordsmiths in prison have spent time
Because their oppressive Governments they chose to criticize
In some instances the truth to persecution can give rise
Those known as Wordsmiths with words know how to play
And with usage of words they surely have a way.
