Those Hands That Gave (Easter Poem) Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Those Hands That Gave (Easter Poem)

Rating: 4.9

Those hands that gave and never took
Such miracles they did perform,
To make the crippled walk again
And blessed both man and child,
Those hands that caused no harm or pain
But only goodness did they yield,
So warm and gentle to the touch
So pure and undefiled.

Those hands that stilled the raging storm
And freed the muted tongue to speak,
That fed five thousand hungry souls
And made the deaf to hear,
Those hands that prayed to God above
And cast the cursed spirits out
That cared for all who were in need
And were so kind and dear.

Those hands so true gave only love
Were always willing to forgive,
That turned the water into wine
And made the blind to see,
But yet they nailed them to the cross
And drew the blood of holy grace,
I shan't forget my Saviour gave
His precious life for me.
