My mother mentioned years ago
that it was always creeping age
which stripped you of your youthful glow
put a wet damper on the page
of men's own book that's titled SEX
and then she pointed at her Mum
so if you feel that a mean Hex
has come for you, do not be glum,
but just accept that things will stop
because of lowered androgens
so no more in the sack and Hop,
thus age makes a big difference.
But when I wandered just last night
into the bathroom, there to find
some shiny floss to clean my bite
I spotted your white-skinned behind,
as smooth as when we first did date
and so I said, though silently,
'you mother, go join the debate
in church but do not lecture me',
and, I found out that balmy night
that mothers who tell fibs to sons
do have agendas that just might
keep our thoughts away from buns.
So lucky that I never listened
(it was a fault they told me then)
and when the showered bottom glistened
I acted as would other men.
But, you agree, no doubt my friend
that I keep quiet of these things
age might just lead you 'round the bend
but androgens will give you wings.
