This Time Of Year - Sonnet Poem by Peter S. Quinn

This Time Of Year - Sonnet

This time of year is of its magical twist
Behold these shadows of flickering light!
When comes in sake of its cold in sight
With flowing on thoughts in its darkish gist
A fairy of fancy my heart has kissed
With a glow at a twinkling - from the night
To astray my own thought on to a flight
As if it to imaginations there missed

My second self be of imagination
A tempest to take away to the far
This glowing's at sight in my sensation
As much the same pleasures - as fancies are
Like a bird that sang tunes out on a bough
So is my Pegasus flying its endow
