This Time It Didn'T Matter Poem by Vera Sidhwa

This Time It Didn'T Matter

This Time it Didn't Matter

Whatever you said or did,
Mattered so much to me.
It took a deep place in my heart.
I would never let us part.

I hated the day when you and I fought.
That day was hard, dark with hate.
That day it mattered a lot,
If we would stay forever.

Then it occurred to me,
That this time it didn't matter.
Who took the blame,
For this and that or for whatever.

This time it didn't matter,
That we even fought.
Come full circle of love,
This time it didn't matter.
