This Near That Poem by Marjorie Welish

This Near That

Imagine a logic of like size
arresting exteriors, even as interiors are restless
skeptical, or defective relative to use
as a reservoir, aqueduct, or kiosk.

'A small simple sheltering or enclosing structure.'
A locale requiring a lid is logically incomplete.

A definition of pluses
'and occurring in multiples' readily modular
if verbally reconfigured, may be reconfigured
as follows: 'a structural reduction in answer to Tatlin.'

Across a wall is a something
Something designates a wall.
'Something having a flat bottom and four upright sides' is a delegate
of sets of descriptions. Our professed subject.
