This Lovely Mess Poem by Marcus McKinley

This Lovely Mess

Sympathetic kiss
Indecipherable, twisted
Scorched chocolate fist,
Desires attempting futility
A dripping hollow dream

Anathema found you
in the mirror, tears clenched
drowning within its frame

The end, it would seem...
Apparent misery, your duality
Not my reflection! you insist
Somehow perception, distorted
Clouded by a tearful mist

Nothing more can you do
soul completely drenched
Life will never be the same

Love is just a game
Moments after it's quenched
The mind is left askew

Caught up in euphoric bliss
With destiny you courted
True intensions you did miss
Uknown this possability
The mirror reflecting this...

The mirror reflecting this...

Is this love?
